JUNETEENTH

CELEBRATE HISTORY

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth is the only holiday that commemorated the abolition of slavery, more specifically the emancipation of enslaved Africans throughout the United State of America. On June 17th 2021, President Biden signed legislation to make Juneteenth a federal holiday.

June 19th 2020, we celebrated our first Juneteenth Celebration with the City of Scottsdale. This event drew an audience of over 1,200 people from across the Valley. Since then we've been able to keep the annual celebration growing & going in Scottsdale with wide variety of vendors, and entertainment for the entire family!
